VoiceStar Sold to Marchex for $28 Million

By Sean Fenlon on August 14, 2007

No sooner had I completed my weekend post explaining Voice Traffic did I read the email announcement of the sale — VoiceStar Sold to Marchex for $28 Million.

WOW!

Congratulations to CEO Ari Jacoby (who several people at DoublePositive know personally) and the rest of the VoiceStar team on the sale.

While very different businesses, VoiceStar and DoublePositive are exactly alike in the following three ways:

1. Software drives our respectives businesses
2. We are in the “Live Leads” space
3. We are both boot-strapped-then-venture-funded (congrats also to the VoiceStar investors as well).

VoiceStar is now the first official “Live Leads” company to have completed a succesful exit.

Bravo.
